At the end of this month I, and my team of equally mad girlfriends, Nicky and , are aiming to complete the Helly Hansen Adventure Challenge Event at the Army training course in Pirbright,

For those of you who do "real triathalons" you will no doubt realise that we are in fact fudging this one by canoeing rather than swimming as our third discipline; but frankly I think it'll be challenging enough without the nightmare of swimming in January!

The event consists of 15+ miles mountain biking; 7 miles off-road running and 1 mile kayak canoeing with a few additional suprise challenges thrown in for good sport!!??

We have to make it round as a team, so this is all about supporting each other to complete what will be, for me, a real trial - particularly just after Christmas, and without the opportunity to train due to all the wonderful snow we have been having here in Bucks...
