In December 2015 I lost my Dad to Pancreatic Cancer and have been meaning to do something to both honour my Dad and to support The Christie charity ever since. My Dad's battle was short and unforgiving but The Christie Hospital did everything they could to make his time with them as comfortable as possible. To ensure that they can keep on providing this support for their patients and to support work towards a cure, they need our support.

Consequently, and eventually, I have decided to 'get my arse in gear' (as my Dad would say) and will be cycling from Sussex to The Christie Hospital in Manchester (over 4 days around the spring bank holiday). This journey will traverse the two locations where my Dad spent the majority of his life and I will be doing it on his preferred mode of transport. That said, I will be getting some assistance, as I'll be using my trusty Volt Pulse X Hybrid E-bike (I do have to consider my own health too!).
