Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Wellbeing Team at Sutton Uplift are taking on the 'live below the line challenge' - this will entail living on £1 a day, for five days, for all our food and drink. We are hoping to raise a minimum of £500 for Sutton's local foodbank and raise awareness locally by providing a small insight into the hardships faced by those experiencing extreme poverty.

As a team we regularly bond together over food, often times, quite extravagantly. Our team meetings are subsidized with fruit and coffee and we spend a lot of our time together over food, lunch or snacks. To take on this challenge is going to be a difficult one for us.

Look out on our social media across the week of the challenge, from May 8th -  12th to see updates on how we are coping, recipes and meal plans and also local or national information on poverty reduction schemes and poverty-reduction initiatives.
