My name is Suzannah Stevens and I am 16 years old.
I am running the British 10K London Run for the Retraining of Racehorse (RoR) charity.
This charity is Britain's horseracing's official charity for the welfare of horses who have retired from racing.
They support the retraining and re homing of former racehorses, help provide facilities for care and retraining and help promote the adaptability of these amazing racehorses. Running for the RoR gives me great pride as I feel it is such an amazing charity who give these incredible horses the second chance they truly deserve from life. As a family we have re- homed a racehorse- Chartplan (Kitch) - he is a truly wonderful horse, who is currently enjoying his retraining. He frequently takes part in British Eventing, Dressage, Pony Club, Riding Club and other events- this shows how adaptable these horses can be, but also the second chance he got after finishing his racing career.
