Skydive Day May 2020 · 1 October 2020 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

I have worked at Brantley Manor for the last 10 years, made my way from a Care Worker to now a Manager.

I have supported lots of families with coping with their loved ones having Dementia and Alzheimer’s, this type of experience has helped me now cope with my dad having Alzheimer’s.

We at Brantley are one big family and we support each other through everyday and out of the ordinary experiences and we welcome new family members with the same love and respect that we have for each other.

Through COVID-19 we have got closer and have gained new experience that we would never have dreamed of and we use these experiences to help build better lives for all those we care for.

I am proud to of worked for Pearlcare for the last 10 years and I am proud to say that I am doing the skydive to help Alzheimer’s research because one day we will find a cure to help rid of such a heartbreaking disease.
