"Why didn't you pick something you actually want to do?" said basically everyone when I told them that I'm taking part in Rough Runner. My answer is because I want to actually earn this sponsor money. I hate mud and being cold and wet is the worst. I'm not a big fan of the outdoors or exercising generally. I'm very clumsy. This is going to be horrible. This will be a real challenge for me.

I've organised a whole bunch of us to do this and all the money is going to Breast Cancer Care in memory of my wonderful Mum who I love and miss so very much. She died when I was 19 and had been battling cancer since before my living memory. Anything good that I am is pretty much because she was my mother. I was incredibly lucky to have her.

So, I hope you will find my suffering at this stupid mud run entertaining. I think you should probably sponsor me if you think you might lol at the thought of me exhausted and covered in mud, quite possibly crying, perhaps with a broken limb and definitely a broken spirit.

Thanks in advance for being generous. It is massively appreciated. If I raise enough lolly, I might even share photographic evidence of this mud massacre. Wish me luck and please try not to laugh at me.
