Suzanne's 600 mile challenge

Suzanne's 600 mile challenge · 24 February 2019
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My friend Les Caton is celebrating his 60th birthday this year and supporting Age UK by carrying out a series of challenges based around the number 60 and fractions and multiples of 60. I think that this is a great way to celebrate, and have been thinking about what I can do to support him.
Lots of people who know me are aware that one of my favourite pastimes is walking, and therefore inspired by Les's multiples of 60, I have decided to walk 600 miles over the course of this year. This will include clocking up a couple of long distance walks and making my contribution to National Walk to Work Day in April (I live in Preston and work in Blackpool so that in itself is a challenge!) My self imposed rule is that walks must be a minimum of 3 miles to contribute to the overall total, so popping out to the shops doesn't count, and neither does trekking along the corridor at Warbreck. I will give a running total of miles walked on this page if you want to track my progress (just for the record my current total is 92 miles since 1st January)
My aim is to complete this challenge regardless of sponsorship, but if you feel you are able to donate, any support you can give would be fantastic.
