My mum was a resident at Overgate from May - June 2017.  Her cancer had spread and we were told that it was now terminal.  Mum's health rapidly deteriorated and so a place was found at Overgate to help ease her pain.  We were told by Macmillan nurses that mum had about a week left to live when she went into Overgate.  Due to the amazing care and attention mum received, she lived for an extended period of another 5 weeks.  In this time, mum's quality of life massively improved and we treasure the memories of those last few weeks we had with her.

This year, Charlie was going to be the main person asking for sponsorship for this walk, as he was going to do this with me, alongside the other participants children - Edie and Isabelle.  Unfortunately Charlie's broken his toe so can't take part, but we're all still going ahead anyway, so please, give what you can.
