In April 2024 I'll be running the London Marathon in aid of Nerve Tumours UK.

Nerve Tumours UK improves the lives of those affected by nerve tumours (neurofibromatosis or NF), one of the most common neurogenetic conditions in the world.

The condition causes nerve tumours to develop where they shouldn’t, causing a wide range of symptoms and issues; those symptoms can be both physical and developmental with a large proportion of children with NF experiencing some form of learning difficulty.

NF is an incredibly variable condition, some people may be affected very mildly and have very few health complications, others may have many more complications that can seriously impact daily life, and restrict what they can do. 

Everyday a baby is born in the UK with Neurofibromatosis. There are over 26,500 people in the UK with the condition and, as yet, there is no cure and very little awareness.

I'm reaching out to ask for your support with this. Your donation, no matter the size, will have a meaningful impact. Nerve Tumours give much needed support to those diagnosed and their families and fund important research. 

This is a cause very close to my heart as our dear friend and neighbour, Freddie, was diagnosed with NF1 when he was 7 months old, and so I know the impact that NF has on him every day.

Receiving an NF diagnosis is incredibly worrying and being able to access the vital support that Nerve Tumours UK provides is so important to help sufferers, like Freddie, and their families navigate life with NF.
