When our son was born he was very ill and needed a bed in Great Ormond Street. Beds were limited and we had to wait for one. Once a bed was allocated he received amazing lifesaving care. We were overwhelmed by the care and treatment our son received from everyone at the hospital.

We were fortunate to live near Great Ormond Street and I was able to share a room with other mums in the old nurses quarters so I didn't have to be far from my new born. Jonathan wasn't as fortunate and had to go home every night.

Many children and their parents travel all over the world to Great Ormond Street and they struggle to receive and afford accommodation. As you can imagine no parent wants to be away from their ill child and no ill child wants to be away from their parents.

We want to raise money to build and kit out new bedrooms in the new wing of the hospital and to raise money to build new parents accommodation.
