The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.

Our family have supported Adsum for a number of years. A brilliant Belfast based charity that supports some of the poorest on earth, in Madagascar.

  • The average Malagasy has only 4.4 years of education (Unicef)
  • Madagascar is the 4th worst country in the world for malnutrition (Oxfam)
  • 92% of the population live on less than $2 a day  (World Bank)
  • 10.9million (C,.50% of population) people in Madagascar do not have access to clean and safe water (Water Aid)
The Adsum foundation supports projects in providing water, education and sanitation .

One water tap in a village can significantly change the lives of 100s of people.

With so many charity challenges, such as the London Marathon cancelled, I have decided to walk (No swimming pool to swim in) 2.6 miles a day for the next 26 days.

Thank you for your support
Suzanne
