HI EVERYONE. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THE CHUTE JUMP WAS CANCELLED DUE TO POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS. WILL NOW BE JUMPING ON SUNDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT XXX
There are two reasons I am willing to throw myself out of a plane (aarrgh!)
First… The kids I am a mum of four. My eldest two children- Bethany and Adam have a genetic condition called ‘Fetal Anti-convulsant Syndrome’ (FACS), caused by my taking epilepsy medication whilst pregnant with them. The condition has left them with varying issues including: social and behaviour problems, learning difficulties, epilepsy, sensory processing disorders and more… My children face their lives full on, they have surpassed expectations and I am truly proud of them both. And it’s not just my children. I a proud of all the FACS children I know…so… Bethany, Adam, Lee, Phil, Lauren, Katie, Amy, Jess, Daniel, Saffron, Matthew, Elliot, Becky, Ryan, Jake, Caitlyn & Liam to name a few I shall do this for you and I’ll face it in the manner you have all taught me- I shall be as brave as you! And second… The charity O.A.C.S is the only charity for this disorder in the world. It has helped me in so many ways…. There is always someone there for me when I feel alone, to prove I am not… always someone there to pick me up when I doubt myself… to help me understand a new diagnosis…to listen and understand with true empathy. This charity is worth its weight. It advocates… it educates… it raises awareness and it supports. For that I am truly grateful. O.A.C.S is run by parents… there are no workers… no government funding… just a dedicated team and a lot of hard work with very little money. I believe in giving back, and until recently I was on the board helping run this charity, unfortunately I had to give up due to family commitments but I will never forget their help. So the least I can do for them is chuck myself out of a plane!! (Hopefully with the backing of my wonderful friends and family.. please pretty please please!! :O) xxxx) Hope you will help xxx
