Story

I'm taking part in Race The Thames Virtual 2022. I'm attempting to walk 42km in a week!

Race The Thames is the annual fundraising event run by London Youth Rowing (LYR). The money raised will be used to help support LYR's work in London and Leeds. LYR's programmes allow young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to take part in rowing, giving them the benefit of participating in the sport and allowing them to fulfil their potential.

I'm also supporting the Motor Neurone Disease Association Coventry & Warwickshire, with 50% of the total funds raised to go to their work. The group is run entirely by volunteers and aims to provide the best possible support to local people with MND, their families, and carers.  This organisation has cared for the parent of one of my colleagues so this is a cause that is dear to my heart.
