Story
Dear friends,
I am truly excited to be walking the Big Fun Walk in aid of the North London Hospice. It feels so right to be taking part this year, as our 90-year-old neighbour and dear friend Peter spent the last six weeks of his life there and received the most wonderful expert care. Peter felt like family to us, so to see him being cared for in such an amazing way was a great comfort at such a difficult time.
I will be walking the 8.5 miles through London to help spread awareness of the hospice and raise funds. Every pound helps the hospice's care teams to provide the best quality palliative and end-of-life care and support for patients and families living with a life-limiting illness. The hospice provides all its services completely free and only 30% of funding comes from the NHS. The care teams rely on donations from the community to raise over £15 million each year.
Thanks so much for reading this. There is no pressure to donate, but if you'd like to, your donation would be much appreicated by all who run the hospice.
Thank you all,
Love Suzie
