My challenge in 2017 is to run to raise money for Cancer Research UK, as my parents both had cancer in later life, and cancer and its treatment is affecting my family and some very dear friends at the moment.

While I have lost a friend to cancer this year I am also running to celebrate that cancer research means that I have friends who are still here!

2. Dark Night 10k trail run on 24 March 2017 - DONE!
   
3. VitalityMove Chatsworth House on 9 July 2017 - DONE!
   
4. Cancer Research UK Race for Life: Reading 10k on 16 July 2017 - DONE!
   
5. Asda Foundation York 10K on 6 August 2017 - DONE
6. Women's Running Race Series Virtual Run August 2017 - DONE
   
7. Wigan 10k on 3 September 2017 - DONE
   
8. Asda Foundation Sheffield 10K on 24 September 2017 - DONE
   
9. SCA Prudhoe Miners Run 10k 2017 on 1 October 2017 - DONE
   
10. Poppy Challenge 2017 - run 33k during November, including one run of at least 10k - DONE
    
11. 10k number 11 - Running the Solar System: a virtual 10k - DONE
    
12. 10k number 12 - Zombies, Run!: a virtual 10k - DONE
    
    
    

And to finish off the year in style - the Run Tatton half marathon on 11 November 2017 (DONE!), and then RED2017 - Run a mile Every Day in December (DONE)

I also ran the Tideswell Wakes 2017 Inter-Inns 5k run on Monday 19 June 2017 and planned to run the Buxton 5k Poppy run on 21 October but can no longer make it to the official run so I ran as a virtual competitor instead on 20 October, through spooky tunnels on a dark Monsal Trail.
