We tackle poverty with practical assistance to fight disadvantage

Story

Since opening its new community support centre in October 2020, St Vincent's Centre, Southend has been working hard to respond to the demand and the continuously changing needs of the vulnerable and needy of Southend. For many people, this past year or so has been a time of crisis, fear, stress and anxiety. Individuals and families have been thrown into poverty, more and more people are being made homeless, isolation has increased and the mental health crisis has deepened. Our work in the community has never been so vital!

We are incredibly fortunate to have had a huge amount of support from the public and many have taken up the call and become volunteers at our centre.

In order to continue our work with the homeless and other vulnerable people in the community we still need your help to run our services
