Story
We are auctioning special items from the Swap Rebellion wardrobe to show support to the care workers on the frontline of the corona virus crisis.
“The Care Workers’ Charity has set up a coronavirus care workers emergency fund to provide emergency financial aid to care workers who are self-isolating. We need our care and support workers; without them we will struggle to keep up with the huge demands now presented to the care sector. Should a care worker have to self-isolate show them they are supported and donate.”
“There are 1.5 million care workers in the UK, contributing to one of the largest workforces, and caring for some of the most vulnerable people in our society. For the UK's care workers, early starts, long hours and mentally draining work are part and parcel of the job. As a result, it's all too easy for illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, to push them beyond their financial limits.”
