South West Coast Path 2022 · 9 July 2022

The Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team (AFPST), formerly CSDST, uses adaptive snowsports to enhance the recovery of the UK's wounded, injured and sick military personnel; both serving and veteran. It reintroduces the spirit of challenge and competition they were accustomed to in normal Service life.

Story

In July 2022, as part of my build-up training to become the first ever disabled person to solo the South Pole, I am running the whole of the South West Coast Path (1,014km, 37,000m vertical gain).

This is part of my project to demonstrate to others the power of human potential by achieving iconic and never-attempted before feats as a disabled athlete.

I wouldn't be able to consider doing these things without the support that I have received, which is why I want to raise money for three phenomenal charities, all of which have supported me in my rehabilitation and recovery from injury, both physically and mentally. I would love to help others receive the same incredible opportunities and support which I have had access to. These charities are:

The Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team ( http://afpst.co.uk/ )

The Adaptive Grand Slam ( https://www.adaptivegrandslam.com/ )

Style for Soldiers ( https://www.styleforsoldiers.com/ )

All of the funds raised from this expedition will be split equally amongst the three charities.
