So at the start of 2022 I weighed myself and came to the conclusion that 15 Stone was probably a bit heavier than I wanted to be. Also, as some of you are aware, I love a challenge so I decided I was going to complete a Triathlon (only a small one at this point).

So, I started running, cycling and swimming regularly, including cycling 13 miles to work and 13 miles back 3 times a week.

In September I took part in my first Triathlon, which I completed in a reasonable time, but that set the cogs in motion. I wanted more, and I wanted bigger!

So after many conversations with my very supportive Partner Kirsty and my two Children, Sidney and Harold, we agreed that I would do a full Triathlon (sometimes referred to as an Ironman, although that's a brand name) in 2023. This also coincides with my 40th Birthday.

So here I am a year later, 3 stone lighter and only 7 months away from the big day!

My Challenge consists of two events:

21st May 2023 - Outlaw Half - 1.2 Mile Swim, 56 Mile Bike, 13.1 Mile Run

30th July 2023 - Outlaw Full - 2.4 Mile Swim, 112 Mile Bike, 26.2 Mile Run

I've chosen the Lincoln MS Therapy Centre as my brother has MS, and lives with this everyday and yet he never gives up, he never stops and he never lets anything get him down. So if he can do that, I can do this and help other people who have to live with this illness.
