Story
Between August 19th - 22nd this year, a group of 8 amateur swimmers are going to Swim for Heroes, by swimming a non-stop relay along the length of the non-tidal Thames.
We're swimming for the charity Help for Hereos who raise money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country. The challenge will start in Kemble, in the Cotswolds. Each swimmer will then take it in turns to swim for roughly an hour at a time, day and night, until we reach the finish line over 200 kilometers away at Teddington Lock (then onto the Barmy Arms in Twickenham for a party!).
Donating through this page is simple, quick and secure. It is the most efficient way to give – so every donation goes further – and if you are a UK taxpayer and consent to donating with Gift Aid the charity will receive an extra 28% at no cost to you.
Thank you so much for your support and for further inforamtion on the challenge, team events please visit our website - www.swimforheroes.co.uk
