Story

In 2013 Christine and I completed our 70km swim across Scotland – the Shin Swim. This was a great adventure and raised over £8000 for Maggie's Centres and Water Aid. We had both wanted to follow this up with a swim along our local coast of East Lothian. For various reasons including my poorly shoulder, Tim's sudden death and Christine's treatments we didn't manage this. After Christine died in 2016 I still had it in my head that I would do the trip. I now feel its time to put my words and dreams into action. So I have made a plan to swim from Musselburgh's Fisherrow Harbour to Cove Harbour in September 2017.

I have looked at the map and tide table and decided that the approximately 65km route can be cut up into 15 sections of about 1.5hour swim each with the tide in our favour. I will again have a great team with me who will help me achieve this goal. If you would like to follow my progress you can do this by following my face book page. I have also set up this Just Giving Page and will be passing any donations to Maggie's Centres.
