Swim for Dementia · 31 March 2026 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Throughout October, I’m swimming 10 miles (that’s 664 lengths!) to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.

I was meant to run the Oxford Half Marathon this year, but an injury forced me to pull out. That’s not stopping me from taking on a new challenge — and this one’s in the pool!

Alzheimer’s Society is a charity very close to my heart. My Nan sadly passed away from Alzheimer’s, and I’m doing this in her memory.

Around a million people are currently living with dementia across the UK. Until the day we find a cure, Alzheimer's Society is here for everyone affected. Wherever they are, whatever they're going through. Your donations will keep me going so please hit the Give Now button and donate what you can to help beat dementia. Thank you!
