Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you are celebrating (or not) yours or your children's or grandchildren's educational achievements, please spare a thought for the parents who would love their children to say just one word or take just one step unaided.

NICE is a charity helping children and adults with movement and neurological disorders to be as independent as possible through the practice of conductive education. The charity helps children and adults with a range of conditions including genetic disorders and cerebral palsy, it's programme for adults helps stroke survivors regain their independence.

NICE supports my good friend's daughter, Emily, who is seven. She was born with a rare genetic condition which affects her physical and mental development. Her parents  started taking Emily to NICE when she was 18 months and since attending a weekly session she is slowly learning new skills. She can now give herself a drink and is learning to take steps, something her parents were told she was unlikely to ever do! Please support this fantastic charity which we know, from Emily's experience, really does help change lives.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you can help by donating any amount - little or large.

About the charity

NICE is a leading UK charity transforming the lives of disabled children and adults who have movement disorders such as cerebral palsy and Parkinson’s. We push the boundaries of their potential by teaching them through conductive education, new ways of controlling the effect of their condition.
