Welcome to Swimrise 2022
In support of International Women's Day and how fantastic women are, I am planning on swimming in the sea at Poppit beach on the nearest Sunday, the 6th March at 9.30am and raising funds for our local refuge and women's charity West Wales Domestic Abuse Service

We did this in March 2020 but for obvious reasons couldn't hold anything last year.
It was great fun with around 35 adults, children and a canine or two running into the sea and raising around £250 for WWDAS.
I'd love it if you could join in this year, and asking for £10 per person that joins in (or whatever you can afford or raise). My kids will hopefully be shaking a bucket on the day for anyone who would rather donate in cash.
Everyone welcome, wear whatever you want in the water, come for a swim or a splash about. The sea will be chilly in March so bring lots of warm things to wrap up in after and a warm drink. Hoping to bring cake too...but if you're a fab cake maker and want to bring along something to share, please do!
Wales covid restrictions currently allow for quite a few people to meet outdoors, but please do an lft before coming. If you're unwell or have any covid symptoms please stay home and we'll see you next time.
Disclaimer...this was not my idea...started in Portobello beach and took off around the country.
