UPDATE: I finished in 3 hours 20 minutes 14 seconds. Thank you all for your amazing support ❤️
Hey,
Thanks for checking in.
As you probably know by now, this October I am taking on the biggest challenge of my life and running the London Marathon for the National Literacy Trust. In March 2020, I could barely run 5km continuously without gasping for air and wishing I was back on the couch, so to finish a marathon 18 months later is something that I certainly didn't envisage myself doing.
The National Literacy Trust is a fantastic charity that exists to change the lives of disadvantaged children through literacy. COVID-19 is set to have a disastrous impact on the literacy of the 4.6 million children living in poverty in the UK. School closures will only widen the attainment gap suffered by disadvantaged students, who are already twice as likely to leave school without good GCSEs in English and Maths than their classmates. These children often don’t have the technology they need to effectively learn from home and their parents frequently lack the skills, confidence and motivation to support their learning outside of a school environment.
Help me raise money for the National Literacy Trust to support these children through these difficult times, and ensure they are still supported as they catch up. By donating, we can help to provide children with the resources necessary to develop and can ensure that more people are able to learn and access education in this difficult, socially distant year.

If you have any questions, or just fancy a run and a catch-up, then do drop me a message.
All the best,
Sam x
