Story

Dear All

Seven of us in London's SWIP office (Mark Harries, Simon Wood, Bernard Henshall, Hamish Campbell, Lyndon Gill, Andrew Perham and Natalie Burnand) are planning to participate in the Artemis Highland 100 Challenge on the 12th September 2009.  We will be cycling 86 kilometres (53 miles) in the Scottish Highlands as a team.  It may take awhile!  The route takes us both on and off-road, starting in Kenmore and finishing at Killin.

We will be raising money for two charities through the Artemis Charitable Foundation, Cancer Research UK and CHAS.  Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to cancer research.  The charity carries out scientific research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.  The organisation provides life-changing information to patients, their families and friends and runs cancer awareness campaigns to help people reduce their risk of the disease.  One in three of us will get cancer at some point in our lives.   The charity's campaigning and lobbying helps keep cancer at the top of the political agenda.  The Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) is a Scottish charity established to provide hospice services in Scotland for children with life-limiting conditions.  A children's hospice offers professional care, practical help and emotional support to the whole family.

Any support, small or large, would be greatly appreciated by all of us.

Thank you,

Mark, Simon, Bernard, Hamish, Lyndon, Andrew and Natalie
