Story
Our friend and wonderful colleague Lorraine Smith has served in the armed forces and for the last 20 years for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. Lorraine was diagnosed with cancer for a second time in the New Year. She has undergone numerous painful and evasive surgeries, and now is on her third dose of chemotherapy. For those who know Lorraine, you'll know she is a tough bird. She battled cancer about 5 years ago and won! However, we feel a little support to let her know how much we love her, show her that we are thinking of her, and raise some money for the ward that is looking after her is the least we can do.
On 8th May 2018, Cath Toovey and Lucy Pinder will be shaving their heads in solidarity to Lorraine losing her hair. We will be recording and posting the head shaves online. We are scared of losing our hair but it will grow back. Lorraine is facing a bigger battle than we could imagine.
The hospital has agreed that all the money donated will go to the Greenlea Oncology Ward (ward 7), who are looking after Lorraine.
Your not just donating, you're sending your love to Lorraine
