Throughout my 40 year career I have  loved  supporting  colleagues face their challenges and seeing them empowered to reach their goals. I am about to face one of my own.

Next weekend I will do my first ever Sky dive from 13000 ft !!

As a passionate volunteer coach at  Smart Works Newcastle  I meet many women who have not had the opportunities in life that so many of us take for granted . 

 Women ,who  don't have a support network of  family, friends and colleagues, who look out for them and encourage them  to be the best they  can be. 

Or the women ,who  for one reason or another  find themselves needing to gain employment and financial independence. 

It is a privilege and a joy to see their confidence grow as they recognise  their skills and what  they can offer a prospective  employer and what that will mean to their life.

 Smart Works is a small independent charity which dresses and coaches unemployed women for their job interview. We empower each woman by giving her the clothes and confidence she needs to succeed. 

After visiting Smart Works Newcastle, 71% secure a job within a month, starting a new chapter and transforming their lives.

I'm asking for your support so that Smart Works can help even more  women of the northeast  become empowered to achieve their potential
