I know that I have been quiet and hidden for a long time! I have been day dreaming, which is good but now I have to start living the dream! I have been doodling on scrap paper for a long time! Now it is time to take action! It is the small steps that will take us the distance!

One day Angela (my sister and driving force) in my life, wanted to go and show me what she stumbled upon . . . it was an airfield! Our childlike enthusiasm and passion was so electrifying it could have ignited Eskom in those black out days! BUT we had no Money!!! So we left, went home and existed...

Five years went by and yes, I still had no money! This time I had a trial lesson booked with Ken! En route to Redhill Aerodrome with butterflies in my tummy, a song came up on the radio that struck a cord! . . . "Something Inside So Strong" by Labi Siffre. A raging torrent of strength  flowed though me, filling me with self belief and determination. I will never forget the airbubble sensation as we took off, I did not feel any claustraphobia, just wondering how I was going to do that! Two days, seven months, and three long years passed and I managed to obtain my PPL(H) on a R22! If you can dream it you can do it!

This story is what brings me to You!!! I decided that Kevin & I would climb the Highest Freestanding Mountain in Africa (a continent very close to my heart) it stands 5,895m or (19 000 feet) tall and will be climbed in 7days! Yes it is Kili indeed. I was just going to book tickets, get to the mountian and started climbing, but gave it a thought and decided to use the opportunity to raise money for charity! As I discovered flying as one of my life journeys, we thought The Children's Air Ambulance as a newly established and vitally needed service which will be operating 24/7, 365 days per year! Could benifit from our adventure! 

The Chidren's Air Ambulance aim to provide "free" life saving flights to any child between newborn and 16 years who require immediate transfer to a "hospital of excellence" in order to recieve life saving treatments. This could be your child or maybe your grandchild one day!

It is not an easy task taking £1700 out of your bank account, well this is the cost to keep the needed Sikorsky S76B in the sky per hour! It is a matter of life or death every time this extra odaniry machine takes to the sky!

Kevin and I, with Your help plan to raise £10 000, this means 6 lives could be saved! My aim is to help this charity grow so that children world wide can benifit from this valueble service!
