Southampton Archery club every year choose a charity to donate to. This is our second year supporting the Countess Mountbatten Hospice charity and we've all been moved by their dedication and compassion.

So this year we are holding a 24 hour shoot, however, the more you dig deep in those pockets the longer I shall shoot.  So are you going to push me to the full 24 hours?

Ways to contribute
Anything helps, just contribute.

• 5p per arrow.
• 1p per point scored.
  
• £1 per km shot.
• £25 if you want me to wear a t-shirt with your company logo for 1 hour during the shoot. Max 24 company's, starts at 10am for 1 hour slots.  ( email me: symondavis at gmail [.] com )

If you want me to suffer and shoot for a whole 24 hours then I'd be hoping to raise at least £20 per hour, so if you can all help me achieve and break the £480 I will shoot for 24 hours after-all this is for a great charity and cause.

Stats & Figures

My recurve bow for me draw up to 48.3lbs per arrow shot.

I'll be looking to shoot for 24 hours, in which time I'm looking to get though approximately 501 arrows (shot in groups of three).

Maths: (all figure are approximated)

48.3 bow draw weight x 501 arrows = 24198lbs total pulling force!

7 points per arrow x 501 = 3507points (I hope to shoot better than that!)

501 arrows x 20 yards = 10020yards, 9.16km or 5.69miles arrow flight distance.
