Walking 4 million steps to raise awareness of child poverty and to families living in need

Story

A small team of us are walking 20km on 13th May to raise money for our local First Days charity.
There are 4 million children living in the UK in poverty - that is 1 in 4 or 9 in a classroom of 30. But it doesn't have to be that way - if we can offer all children the same start in life. We would all benefit in a more equal society.  First Days charity is based in Woodley and was established in 2013 to help families in Berkshire and the surrounding area who are struggling to support their young children. They take donated baby and children's clothes, toys and equipment and redistribute them to families who are referred to them by their health or social care professional.
