And it is an honour because Val was the type of person who was never a stranger to anyone for long. It did not matter to her if she had seen you yesterday or twenty years ago, she had a warmth and naturally ability to put people at ease, she made you feel loved and cherished. And that was one of Val's many gifts.

Many people mention her huge smile and unforgettable laughter, her sense of humour and ability to light up a room. But over and above all this was her love for her family, the pride and love that radiated from her when she talked about them.

Love and Laughter - that is Val's legacy and it is with love that we unite to do this for her, for her family, for her friends and for the place she has left on this earth and in our hearts. It is not an empty space but one filled with happy memories and full hearts even though they grieve.
