Story

The Running Challenge 2023

The reason for undertaking ‘The Running Challenge 2023’ is
linked to the benefits I’ve seen in 2022 from becoming more active following a very
sedimentary covid lockdown which I’m sure a number of people can relate too.
There are so many positives to running, such as increased health and fitness, weight
loss and improved mental health which has never been so important, so hopefully
running this challenge will encourage a few people to tag along and whip out their
running shoes while raising some money for a wonderful charity.

A number of friends have recently  campaigned for so many worthwhile charities, however
I’ve decided on helping a charity which I’m sure is close to all parents
hearts. Anybody who have had poorly children and those who have spent time in any
hospital will know how difficult and scary  it can be, but the fantastic work and support from
the nursing staff and professionals make it that little bit easier.

Alder Hey is a children’s hospital based in Liverpool who provide
life-saving equipment and research to help families throughout the UK and
beyond, the hospital treat and support over 330,000 children each year,
ensuring all have access to the best facilities and equipment and that the
benefits are felt by families across the world.

What better charity to support!!

The Running Challenge will begin in January and I’ve booked
