Story

Hi, my name is Tabitha, I’m 14 years old, and this June I’m taking on a big challenge — riding from London to Brighton with my dad to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Cycling has been a big part of my life for most of my childhood. I joined Reehill Raiders in April 2019, when I was seven years old, and since then cycling has helped me grow in confidence, make friends, and learn what it means to keep going when things feel tough. Over the years I’ve learned so much, and more recently I’ve taken the next step by becoming a member of Westcroft Triathlon Club, which has pushed me even further and helped me believe in myself.

This ride will be the longest distance I’ve ever done, and I know it won’t be easy. I’m training hard to prepare, and I’m really proud that I’ll be taking on this challenge alongside my dad — having his support makes it feel extra special.

I wanted to do this ride to help raise money for the British Heart Foundation, who do amazing work supporting people with heart and circulatory conditions and funding research that saves lives. Knowing that every mile we ride could help someone else keeps me motivated when training gets tough.

Thank you so much for supporting me — whether by donating, sharing my page, or cheering me on. It really means a lot and will help me get all the way to Brighton
