For those of you who have not heard of Barretstown it is a superb charity which gives children with serious illnesses a chance for some serious fun. 

As a former acute lymphoblastic leukaemia patient myself and a Barretstown Camper I've had first hand experience  of hair loss through chemotherapy. I have also been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to take part in the incredible work Barretstown do to make you feel like a normal child again.

This is going to be a double whammy charity event as the hair will be cut at Profile Hair Design, Mullingar and it will be donated to the Rapunzel Foundation to make a wig for a leukaemia patient.

Who knows there may be a few renditions of the Red Haired Boy (aka The Jolly Beggarman .. ! ) on the fiddle to top it all off.
