At New North London Synagogue we aim to provide a supportive and inclusive community that faces the intellectual and spiritual challenges of today with integrity and passion. We are a community that pursues a genuine concern for diversity, and for social and environmental justice.

Story

NNLS Asylum Seeker Drop In helps people who are seeking asylum on the first Sunday of every month. We try and make their lives a little easier and more comfortable. Our community helps more than 300 people every month who have escaped to this country and their children. They come from all over London to get hot food, drinks, clothes, food vouchers, medical care and legal advice. Along with my grandpa, mum, Ben and the rest of our family we make and serve hot drinks and snacks while they wait to go into the centre. I like to talk to the different families and see how they are. Many people come every month and we volunteers like to get to know them. Lots of children come with their parents and we can see that they have a very hard life, so we try and make it a little nicer. Your money will buy supermarket vouchers that we give out to every family each month.
