Awyr Las (Blue Sky) is the North Wales NHS Charity. Through the charity you can support the specific hospital wards, departments or community healthcare services that are closest to your heart. Your support helps fund added extras which the NHS in North Wales cannot provide.

Story

Taliesin Celt Thomson Huws, born 27th November, 7lbs

I am raising money through Awyr Las to show my appreciation to all the healthcare staff who have cared for Tal and I over the past few weeks.

The monies raised will help to provide new, much needed equipment and services which go over and above what the NHS can provide. Our support can help ensure that babies in North Wales can receive the very best care from the moment they are born and mums like me can access the very best treatment and antenatal and postnatal care.

In 2009 midwives and doctors in Ysbyty Gwynedd made sure that Mac was delivered safely and that I made a full recovery after having Hellp Syndrome during and following Mac's birth.

This year the same amazing team of experts have again gone over and above what can be expected of them to make sure that Tal and I are safe and well.

Many friends and family members have asked what we need or want for Tal. The midwives in the community and in Ysbyty Gwynedd and their colleagues have made sure that we have what we want - another healthy boy - so we would now like to show our gratitiude by helping to fund the extra equipment and facilities we now know they want and need.

Thanks to all the healthcare staff who kept up our spirits throughout our time in hospital and thanks to all of you who choose to donate through Awyr Las.
