Memory Walk 2021
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year thousands of people will walk united, against dementia. With your help, we aim to raise as much money as possible to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia. That's the equivalent of around 225,000 people every year.  There are currently over 4000 people diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's in Cornwall and an estimated more than 1000 people undiagnosed.

Saskia and I are Makaton tutors who want to support those diagnosed with dementia and their carers to learn Makaton so that they have a voice in later life.

By taking part in Memory Walk you are helping us walk for a dementia free future and help people affected by dementia.Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money, saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Let's take on dementia together!

Come and join us, for all of the walk or just some of it, on 25 September 2021 at 10am.  Leaving from the South Wheal Francis car park (Lat: N 50° 20′ 94.00″, Long: W 5° 24′ 97.32″ OS Grid Ref: SW 68226 39432 Distance: 7 miles)

Coffee and cake afterwards!
