My name is Taliesin Campbell but everyone calls me Tal. I am 6 years old and have a condition called cerebral palsy which makes my legs not do what I want them to.
3 years ago my family friends and very kind strangers all raised enough money for me to travel to St Louis in America to have an operation called SDR. This operation released some of the tightness in my legs and gave me  the chance to learn to walk on my own. Over the last 3 years I have been getting stronger and stronger and can now walk a few steps on my own and short distances using 2 walking sticks. I usually travel the 1 km journey to school either by car or in my wheelchair. This year, for Children in Need I am going to try and walk the whole 1km (hills and all) with just my walking sticks and your support.
