Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Running for CLIC is hugely sentimental and meaningful for me, this year will mark 10 years since I lost a dear friend to cancer, Alfie was just 11 when first diagnosed. I wanted to do something special to raise money for an amazing charity that provides specialist support for children and families during an impossibly difficult time. I also wanted to keep my amazing friends memory alive, he is and always will be a constant inspiration to me, through every struggle in life his favourite quote is a constant reminder to me and something I strive to live by. “There is no failure for the man who gets up every time he falls”.
London Marathon has always been on the bucket list, and whilst the timing probably isn’t the easiest; trying to complete a masters, balance a work/ social life and now train for a marathon, I will remember with every step, every cold winter run, every early morning I get up to train, why I am doing this! It’s an honour to run for CLIC Sargent’s team, it will make me run a little faster, train a little harder and fulfil this challenge. I’ve also made it a bit more of a challenge and entered Liverpool’s Rock and Roll marathon 4 weeks after London! These are for you Alf x
Here are a few examples for how the money raised will help
children and young people.
