Story

**29 March 2020 UPDATE**

Today I was meant to run my half marathon on behalf of Leap....but I actually ran it this past Thursday 26 March!!

Despite the London Landmarks Half Marathon being postponed, I decided to use my permitted one outing a day for exercise to good use and cause.  I had a lovely solo sunny run in NW London and Regent's Park; complete with a homemade medal at the "finish line" courtesy of Stephen and Sage. A few more donations have come in since, I'm so grateful for your support of me, Leap and the wonderful work that they do.

Will keep you posted on the rescheduled date for LLHM.

**UPDATE**

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak the London Landmarks Half Marathon has been postponed.  We are hoping for an alternate date to be announced.

In the meantime, I wanted to thank you all for your donations and support. You have helped me surpass my initial fundraising goal for Leap 3x's over.  The work that Leap do will be even more meaningful and beneficial to so many young people on the other side of this pandemic, so THANK YOU!

------

Hello friends!

My first half marathon...I am equal parts excited and terrified!  But, I am thrilled to be doing it on behalf of something meaningful to me.

Conflict in the lives of young people is one of the big issues of our time. Leap Confronting Conflict’s purpose is to give young people the skills to manage conflict in their lives. Leap has over 30 years’ experience supporting young people who may be in care, in prison, excluded from school or on the periphery of gangs.

By running this half marathon I will not only be reaching a personal goal, but with your fundraising help we will be giving young people the skills and knowledge to better mange conflict, reduce violence in our communities and help lead our society.

Please support me and Leap.

Thank you!
