Story

I thank Running every day for what it has given me: a chance to be a better version of myself in every starting line.

This year, I decided I wanted to run my very first marathon, and since I will be living in London for a year, it was just ideal to participate in The London Marathon taking place on 2 October 2022.

I want to make my training and running more meaningful by raising awareness and funds to support a cause that hits close to home: helping to save the lives of children with cancer diagnosis.

My big sister, Gretta, passed away at just 2 years old in what was a very short fight against lung cancer. I know the story can be different for many kids and their families. I will run every meter to honor her life and to make it possible for more children to survive cancer.

Please feel free to donate or share this. All donations will go to Children with Cancer UK, the leading children's charity dedicated to research into childhood cancer.

Did you know?

Every day, 12 families in the UK are told that their child has cancer. Out of the 12 children and young people that are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK, two won't survive.

Why run?

The London Marathon is the largest annual charity fundraising event on the planet. Training with a purpose in mind will give meaning to my effort, while raising funds and helping to create a world where every child survives cancer.

Your impact

  • With every dollar/pound/peso you donate, you make it possible for children affected by cancer to aspire to a longer, healthier and happier life.
  • You make it possible to fund research projects across the UK, accelerating breakthroughs to help drive up childhood cancer survival rates and find kinder, more effective treatments to reduce long-term side effects.
  • You make it possible for compassionate support to continue towards this worthwhile cause.
