I am climbing Kilimanjaro in September with my mum in aid of the 'Friends of Care Homes'. Any support or donations would be appreciated and really would make a difference!!
For about a year now I have been volunteering for a wonderful charity called 'Friends of Care Homes' every Sunday afternoon. The charity puts on multiple different events at the weekend for older people including for those with Alzheimers and Dementia. At the events there is an entertainer, sing-alongs, games, snacks, drinks and a raffle for everyone to enjoy. The events give people who might otherwise have nothing to do, a lovely afternoon out! With loneliness and dementia becoming so much more prevalent in older people, I do believe this charity is a worthwhile cause!
