Story
In 2013 I climbed Mount Snowdon in aid of the Jaskomal Foundation along side Khalsa Aid. Did you know that 94% of Britain cannot help an asian with blood cancer? This is due to the lack of bone marrow donors. So this charity event was to promote awareness and to gather more data towards stem cell research, upon returning to the ground from the summit we gave our saliva samples to be analysed in Lab. All monies raised were given to the Jaskomal Foundation.
In 2019 I climbed the great BEN NEVIS! I remember checking my step count at the end of the day at it was just over 64,000 Steps! It's safe to say my body was as stiff as a tree the following week! However this was a great personal achievement and I managed to raise £440 for the Galton Unit at my local medway Hospital alongside my colleague who also joined me on this endeavour. The donations were used to improve the waiting room area where the relatives of local cancer sufferers wait to see their loved ones, It was so nice to see an uplifting atmosphere, The hospital were very grateful.
Please find it in your heart to donate to my cause, I will be Climbing Scafell Pike which is my final mountain climb till I achieve the 3 Peaks Challenge, which will be a great personal achievement for me and also rewarding having the opportunity to do this challenge and raise money for a cause that is close to my heart. Helping other feel like they’re "Home" when they need it most.
