In October 2022 - my friend Emily and I will be putting on our hiking boots and trekking for five days through the Tasmania World Heritage area of Cradle Mountain, Tasmania. Our team of 15 will undertake the 35k trek which will see us traversing sections of the Overland Trail to raise much needed funds to support women in the Rohingya Refugee camp in Bangladesh.

I've set myself an individual goal of raising at least $3000 for UN Women Australia and would really appreciate any and all support you could offer to make this happen. This week we celebrate International Women's day on 8 March, so please help me reach my target by making a small donation of support. 

All of the funds raised on this challenge will go directly to assisting UN Women Australia to provide education, vocational training, jobs, trauma counselling and a community for Rohingya women and girls. (The cost of our travel etc is fully self funded)

The centres provide a safe space to connect. They offer information, raising awareness about violence, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, child marriage and trafficking.

$20 Can supply one woman with a dignity kit containing essential items such as soap, toothpaste, sanitary pads and a solar lamp

$95 can fund the production and distribution of 100 cloth face masks

$240 can supply women and their families with safer cooking fuel, to reduce health hazards

$720 can help 12 women get vocational training to help them earn an income 

$2100 can support a UN Women supported Women's Centre for a week.
