Story

I started running 5 years ago and in that time have completed 14 marathons and 6 Ultras.  I went from doing very little exercise to joining a bootcamp to lose weight and a running group where I found my love of running.  I like to challenge myself and I'm looking forward to running the SDW 100 in June which is a non-stop 100 mile race following the beautiful South Downs Way starting at Winchester and finishing at Eastbourne.  It has a maximum elevation of 12,700ft and a cut-off time of 30 hours to complete it in. I love trail running and the amazing people I have met since I decided that long endurance running is what I enjoy the most.

I am fundraising for Bromley Community Counselling Service, because I am passionate about the high-quality, effective affordable counselling the organisation provides to the local community.  The service began over 20 years ago and relies entirely on charitable donations.  It is such a valuable service as it is open to anybody struggling with personal, emotional or mental health difficulties and ensures they have access to the support they need to help them.  I feel honoured to work for them and by fundraising, I hope I can help in a small way to ensure that they keep going and continue to be the integral part of the local community that they are.
