I am supporting Refuge and their life- changing work by pledging to raise £2000. A UK based charity, Refuge provide services for women and children who have experienced domestic violence; protect women by advocating for a strong criminal justice response to perpetrators; and prevent future violence through education, training and awareness-raising. 

With 2 women in the UK losing their lives each week from violence inflicted on them by a partner, Refuge are under continuous pressure to provide support and relief to thousands of survivors, many of whom are still in danger. 

Here are just a few of the many ways your donations/ sponsorship could help:

£75 could pay for a local support group for women who are still living with DV, and want to find out about their options. 

£10 could pay for an emergency parcel for women and children who first arrive at a Refuge centre, having just fled DV. The parcel would include: An initial  assessment from staff, food, clothes, toiletries, nappies etc. 

Refuge rely heavily on sponsorship and events such as London, so thanks for your contributions, however big or small. I know this charity provide crucial support for women and their children who, at some point,  have felt as though they have no way out.
