Education is the tool to eradicate poverty which empowers impoverished communities and allows them to help themselves. In the light of global pandemics and disasters, education is often forgotten.

By the will & grace of Allah (SWT) we have been given the opportunity to support the wonderful charity READ Foundation to build an essential new school building in the remote area of Pakistan( Kashmir)  for the underprivileged children and orphans.  Please see the attached video to see the current condition of the school that READ Foundation will be rebuilding.

So we have decided to take part in the most challenging activity that we have ever done in our lives !! Yes that's rights it was my wife's Idea !!!

The K2 Base Camp Trek is one of the finest treks in the world and unbeatable in terms of close-up mountain views and proximity to many of the world’s highest peaks. However there is a lot of training  to be done before hand as we will be walking 6-7 hours a day in low oxygen environments , Multi day hiking with  a weighted pack and willing to walk in winter conditions ! Not to forget to camping under the stars and witnessing the amazing views in this once in a lifetime experience. 

However all this will be worth it knowing that we are helping the underprivileged and orphan children. There  is no better way then to leave a legacy in the names of the people who contribute so the children in the school can benefit with an education for years and years to come.

The school will run on a self-supportive basis and will meet its operational expenditure through local resources. To date, READ Foundation have built over 390 schools, supporting 11,341 orphans in current education and currently have 59,855 boys and 52,151 girls (112,006) educating in their schools Mashaa'Allah.
