إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un)
Samsun Neher Begum Kamali 20/06/1948- 04/05/2021
My dear Nanu ‘I came here to be with you not to bury you’. This is what I said to her when I first came to Bangladesh because of Covid-19. This is the very thing that made her depart this dunya.
Allah is the best of planners, he marked this special day for her to return to him (during Laylatul Qadr). What a blessing, I took part in her ghusl. I saw her and spent time with her and provided her last minute food cravings. For this I’ll forever be grateful!
Every year during Laylatul Qadr she would enter Etikaf. This year during the first day of Laylatul Qadr she was not able to participate due to her health deteriorating. She was taken away from us on the very first day.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three:
- Sadaqah jaariyah (ongoing charity, e.g. endowment)
- Beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind and others benefit from it)
- A righteous child who will pray for him.”
In’ Sha’ Allah all your contributions are accepted.
