Devon and Scotland Skydive Day · 30 September 2023 ·

We share our lives with cats. They bring happiness to millions of us every day. Yet too many cats don’t get the care and kindness they deserve. At Cats Protection we stand up for every cat to make life better for cats and the people who care for them.

Story

September 30th 2023, marks the day I will be jumping out of a plane to raise money for Cats Protection Devon! I haven't thought much about the Sky Dive, I just know every cat deserves the best and want to raise as much as possible to help them.

Our rehomed kitty has helped me through so much, we all know cats can feel our emotions and she has flooffed me out of a lot of dark moments and makes me smile no matter what headspace I am in. Our kitty has also been through a fair amount and didn't have the best start to her life but the neighbours in our area took care of her and she eventually moved herself in with me and my partner (woohoo!). She is very much a diva who is truly living her best life and is definitely an only pet. Meaning, we cannot adopt another... so I thought it was best I raise money to support such an amazing charity, and hopefully inspire others to 'Adopt, instead of shop'!

I believe every cat deserves the best life it could have, and Cats Protection do everything it can to make this happen. They rely on donations to make their epic work come to life:

  • £2 would feed 1 cat in Cats Protection Care for 10 days
  • £5 can give 6 fishing rod toys to cats for play and expressing natural behaviours
  • £10 covers the cost of microchipping for 4 cats
  • £15 covers the cost of a worming treatment for 3 cats to treat and prevent parasites
  • £20 covers the cost of 12 soft blankets to keep cats warm, cosy and feeling safe in their beds in the care
  • £50 would provide 1 cat in need with a full first veterinary exam, vaccination and a de-flea and de-worming treatment
  • More info can be found in my pics!

Things I'll be doing to raise money in the next few months are:

  • A quiz night 20th July, 7:30pm @Bideford Reds Rowing Club (pop your name/team name in the box when you donate on this page)
  • Guess the weight of the cake game (you get to keep the cake if you win ;).
  • Plant sale & raffle

Thank you so much for reading, I understand times are tough at the moment and appreciate anything you can pop over for the kitties. Please remember to gift aid your donation too!
